Christmas Number 1 Chart Race Gap Just 9000 sales

After an unprecedented internet campaign by Tracy and John Morter on Facebook to get Rage Against The Machine's track "Killing In The Name" to the top spot for the UK Christmas Number 1, on Friday the Official Charts Company (OCC) reported that the gap is down to just 9000 sales with Rage Against the Machine still leading but the margin is decreasing and expected to continue to decrease over the weekend.

The official facebook group has had problems with facebook connectivity all week but is now back up and running at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2228594104&ref=ts

It has also been announced today that Sir Paul McCartney is now backing Rage to hit the top spot for this years number one but it just isn't going to happen without continued support from the online community.  The official facebook group has 800 000+ members but there are only 306 000 sales of the Rage Against the Machine Track this week which means a whopping half a million users who have signed up to the group haven't purchased the track.

All is not lost though.  With one more big push across the weekend Rage Against The Machine could still take the top spot.  However YOU have to act now.  You can buy the track from these following locations.

-- Purchase One for yourself, and a maximum of another Two as a 'gift' for someone else --

Please act now and be part of this landmark movement this year.  What better way to end the decade than to have PROPER music from a PROPER artist with a PROPER message rather than some karaoke singer, singing a cover version of a track from Hannah Montana.  Stand up against this era of manufactured drivel and send your message to the corporate fat cats.  This long decade of over processed sh*t will know longer be the norm for us music lovers in the UK.
